WINTER GUARD 2017 INFORMATION
Rehearsals
Mondays and Thursdays from 5:15pm-8:30pm in the Activities Center. Beginning November 15 and ending March 30.
Saturdays: January 7, 14, and 21. February 4 and 18. March 25. 11am-8pm.
Parents/Rides: Students are released at 8:30, when they then put away equipment. This generally takes 15-20 mins. Please plan accordingly.
Policy for Absences from Rehearsals
If a student has more than 5 absences, or an unexcused absence, the student may not be allowed to participate in performances and may not be allowed to continue with the program, at the directors digression. Family/medical emergencies and previously communicated and approved school activities are exceptions.
Fees
Fees are $75 for the 2017 season. This pays for flags, backdrop supplies, costumes and other equipment. This amount can be paid through installments throughout the season, or in full at any time. They are due before April 1.

GUARD INSTRUCTORS
Sarah Hamman
Color Guard Instructor
Sarah has been the director of the Branson Color Guard and Winter Guard since the fall of 2011. From 2009-2010 she was a guard instructor at Braden River High School, as well as a musical theatre, show choir, private piano and voice teacher, working with students ages 5-17. She graduated from Francis Howell Central in St. Peters, MO in 2003, and continued working with the FHC marching band and color guard for several years. She has worked with some of the finest color guard instructors around the country, and incorporates that knowledge along with her own teaching style into her learning time with her students.

Jena Ingram
Assistant Band Director, Guard Instructor
Jena has been an assistant band director and guard director with the Branson bands since the fall of 2013. She graduated MSU with a bachelor's degree in Music Education in 2013, and received her Master's degree in 2015. She graduated from Northwest HS in 2009, where she was drum major of her marching band her senior year. She was a member of The Pride of Missouri State's Winter Guard during her 4 years of college, competing at an international level in WGI. She has been taught by some highly renowned color guard instructors, and that experience flows into her teaching and choreography.
